Frequently asked questions

What is astrocartography?+

Astrocartography projects your birth chart onto the world map, showing where each planet's energy is strongest. Developed by astrologer Jim Lewis in the 1970s, it reveals how geography shapes career, love, wealth, and growth.

How accurate is it?+

We use Swiss Ephemeris — the same astronomical engine as professional astrology software — accurate to within a mile. Accuracy depends most on your birth time: even 4 minutes can shift a planetary line by ~111 km.

What if I don't know my exact birth time?+

You'll still see planetary lines (Sun, Moon, Venus, etc.), but the angular lines (Ascendant, Descendant, MC, IC) need an exact time. Check your birth certificate or ask a family member for the most precise map.

Do you support Vedic astrology?+

Yes. Unlike most Western tools, we include Rahu and Ketu (the lunar nodes) lines, which are central to Vedic astrocartography — especially important for foreign settlement and NRI relocation.

Is the timezone handled automatically?+

Yes. When you pick your birthplace, we auto-detect its IANA timezone and historical daylight-saving rules, so US/Europe/Australia births are calculated correctly for the year you were born.

Can it help with business decisions?+

That's our specialty. Add your business context — industry, team size, even your website — and our AI re-ranks cities for factory, office, or HQ decisions, blending planetary lines with real commercial fit.

Is my birth data private?+

Your data is encrypted and used only to generate your report. We never sell it. Reports are cached so you're not re-charged, and you can request deletion anytime.

How much does it cost?+

The interactive map and a limited number of AI chats are free. Detailed reports start at ₹499, and the B2B Business Location Report is ₹4,999. See the pricing page for details.

Is this a substitute for professional advice?+

No. astrocatogrophy is for entertainment and guidance. Always weigh real factors — visas, cost of living, career opportunities — alongside your map, and consult professionals for medical, legal, or financial decisions.
